Getting started with iWawa

iWawa is a free Android kids mode and parental control launcher for phones and tablets. Once installed, it replaces the normal home screen with a child-friendly space where only the apps, websites, and media you approve are available. This guide covers installing iWawa and setting up your first child profile.

Install iWawa from Google Play

1. Open the Google Play Store on your child's phone or tablet.
2. Search for iWawa.
3. Tap Install and wait for the download to finish.
4. Open the app and grant the permissions it requests so kids mode can work correctly.

Create a child profile

The first time you open iWawa, you set up the parental control interface, then create a profile for your child.

1. Open the parental control interface (the parent settings area).
2. Set or confirm your parent password — this protects all settings and is how you exit kids mode later.
3. Create a child account / profile and enter your child's name and age.
4. Choose the apps, websites, and media the child can use (see Add apps & allow websites).

Basic setup flow

After the profile is created, finish the basics:

1. Set screen-time limits so the device is used in healthy amounts.
2. Review the kids desktop and arrange approved apps into folders.
3. Hand the device to your child — they will only see the safe iWawa space.
