Set screen-time limits in iWawa

Use iWawa parental controls to set daily time limits, usable time slots, single-session length, and rest intervals for your child.

Healthy screen time is one of the main reasons parents use iWawa. From the parental control interface you can decide how long the device can be used each day, when it can be used, and how long each session lasts. This guide explains each setting.

Daily time limit

Set a total amount of time your child can use the device each day. When the daily limit is reached, iWawa stops further use until the next day. This is the simplest way to cap overall screen time.

Usable time periods (time slots)

Instead of (or in addition to) a daily cap, you can define usable time periods — the hours of the day when the device may be used. For example, you might allow use after school and block it during homework time or after bedtime. Outside the allowed slots, the device stays locked.

Single-session length

You can limit how long a single session lasts. This encourages your child to take breaks rather than using the device for one long stretch. When a session reaches its limit, iWawa pauses use.

Rest intervals

Pair session limits with rest intervals — a required break between sessions. After a session ends, the device stays locked for the rest period before it can be used again, helping protect young eyes and encouraging time away from the screen.

Tips

  • Combine a daily limit with usable time slots for the clearest routine.
  • Use session length plus rest intervals to build in regular breaks.
  • Adjust the limits as your child grows or as routines change.

All of these controls live in the parental control interface and are protected by your parent password. For help, contact [email protected].
